Exploring the Nano World A nice collection of videos and course material for teaching K-12 students about nanotechnology. Prepared by the University of Wisconsin.
National Center for Learning and Teaching in Nanoscale Science and Engineering (NCLT) has the mission of developing the next generation of leaders in Nanoscale Science and Engineering education. Teachers should check out the courses and workshops they make available.
The Nanobiotechnology Center at Cornel University has some interesting educational opportunities, including a nanotechnology workshop for teachers and a month long summer internship for high school students.
The NanoTechnologyGroup facilitates the development of innovative Nano scale Science Education targeted for grades preK-20, featuring resources to create Interactive Virtual Nano Science Classrooms for Global access and Virtual Interactive Nano Science Laboratories (nano-labs) for experiential learning. Visit their K-12 Outreach, Education Links and Nano video sections for free resources and solutions.
Nanorex is making available a 3-D modeling software that allows students to simulate nanoscale structures. If you are a high school teacher or university professor you may be able to use this software for free.
The National Nanotechnology Initiative Web site lists educational degree programs in nanotechnology.
